Palette Promo at Placebo Gallery

Here is the walkthrough of the pre-exhibition promotion I created in my Second Life gallery for my Honours class end of year exhibition Palette.

It was fun to do and a cool idea. I discovered, to my surprise, having been in SL for 3 years, now, that hardly anyone seems to know it even exists, and if they do, they think it is a game. So the gesture was kind of meaningless in terms of reaching anyone who may actually come to our real world exhibition in Whanganui, New Zealand next week.

I captured all the footage using CaptureMe, which is free software. Although I have Premiere Pro, I don’t know much about using it, so Pat, the video genius in our group, put it all together and added the great soundtrack and some cool colour manipulation. You can see more of Pats work at

As it is in my gallery, this is also a bit of shameless self-promotion (:

    • Anytime! It’s not actually totally finished, I have yet to put notecards in all the artist images, and probably won’t, but everything else is finished. If you search Placebo Gallery you will be able to teleport there.
