  1. Don’t really connect with the title, but that’s hardly the point! I like what I see as an Asian influence in this one.

    • Exactly, me, too. And, as a lot of Sumi-e ( ) are illustrations to stories, I invented a story based on the wolf (the stain on the left of the inset piece), and the stork (the white lines).

      • Used to do a bit of sumi ink painting back in school. It was interesting to see how it reacted on various types of paper–not just rice paper but others too.
