Something Beautiful

ok… I’m going to do something different for me… I’ve tried, in the past, to include my incredibly eclectic music tastes in some of my posts… they sunk without a trace. So, f@*k ya, this is my blog, and I’m gunna ram it down your un-eclectic throats! I’m going to try a series of posts called ‘Something Beautiful‘, in which I will share some of my favourite, beautiful music with you, via YouTube clips. Not sure how this will go, as the clips are often shit. Anyway, first up, a shit clip of the Dixie Chicks ( Hurricane Katrina telethon) singing a gorgeous song…

next, the School… sorry, just audio (excellent), all the audio on the video ones was shit…

… finally, for now, This Mortal Coil: Song to the Siren… gorgeous video/audio… the singer is Elizabeth Fraser, the fabulous voice of the Cocteau Twins…

… if this goes well, I’ll do it again, if not, then, not. Also, don’t expect too many male artists, as with my artistic preferences, I prefer females to males.

  1. Dixie Chicks are my long-time faves. Have two of their albums. Also, a long time ago you mentioned Be Good Tanyas, and I then acquired a collection CD of some of their best songs. Same goes for Amanda Jenssen. So take that, you doubter!

    • That’s really awesome feedback, Alli, especially about Amanda Jenssen, as she is quite a different genre of music to the Chicks and the Tanya’s (:
