  2. Hey Chris! Your artworks are so creative! I have nominated you for the Liebster Award 🙂 Do check out the details from my post: https://thelittlethingsz.wordpress.com/2012/11/23/178/ I really hope you would take part! Thanks!

    • Hey Yeh Su-Rong! I am flattered you would nominate me… but I am sorry to say that I do not consider these ‘awards’ to be anything more than chain letters or pyramid schemes… they may be fun, but they don’t mean anything. Please do not be offended and congratulations on your own nomination (:

  3. Haha, that’s fine! I agree with you–The Liebster Award isn’t a ‘serious’ award, it’s just something fun that allow viewers and other bloggers to learn more about you and your works! Thanks for the congratulations 🙂

  4. Love your consistency of style. It’s so often that people visit my blog (looking for followers, of course) and their work is all over the map. The illustration style is quite vibrant and “alive”. I also enjoy the creativity of your photo images. When I see something that is beyond the ordinary, I get motivated to continue my own work! Thanks for your visit–without it I wouldn’t have had the chance to experience your work.

    • Thanks for such a thoughtful and comprehensive comment. Although our styles and subjects are poles apart, I loved your beautiful watercolours and their life-affirming appreciation of nature and animals. The fact that our work is so different makes your comment that much more meaningful to me. I am pleased to have provided any motivation to continue your lovely work, you have certainly given me a positive boost (:

  10. Absolutely stunning blog! Love your work with the circles / geometric style, very intricate, like the night sky folded up into a picture….

    July 12, 2013 at 7:08 am

    • Thank you! I’m going through a bit of a circle/geometric phase at the moment! Thank’s for the feedback.
I loved your quirky monkfish (:

      July 12, 2013 at 7:50 am

      • I am so pleased you like my quirky monkfish!! Your work is way out of my league – I have a geometric section, some with circles, and it is pretty simple stuff, for people to colour in. Makes me want to get some paint out, and spatter it about, when I see your geometric circles! Totally inspriing.

      • I really like your idea of providing images for people to colour, and your images are so gentle/non-threatening, people of all ages could enjoy colouring them.
I’m pleased my work has inspired you, that’s the heart of this blogging thing, isn’t it!

        July 12, 2013 at 9:43 am

      • Thank you! I aim to keep my pictures accessible to all ages, so thank you for commenting on that… And yes… it really is at the heart of blogging isn’t it! Such a creative and supportive community here at WP. 🙂

  12. Amazing blog. You have talent. I wish I knew how to use Photoshop like you do. 🙂

    March 23, 2014 at 12:36 am

    • Thank you (: Honestly, the way to learn Photoshop is to use it! There is really no ‘correct’ way to use it, it’s so versatile… the main thing is practice… lots and lots of it (:

      March 23, 2014 at 12:47 am

      • Thanks, I will give it a try. I am more of a show and tell with a mentor/tutor kind of pupil, rather then find out by yourself kinda person. I guess that’s why I am so hesitant to start and learn with Photoshop on my own.

        March 23, 2014 at 12:49 am

      • Look up ‘Photoshop tutorial’ on YouTube, there are hundreds, or, better still, go here: http://www.youtube.com/user/FZDSCHOOL
this guy is mind-blowingly awesome, and does the best Photoshop tutorials, for free, that I have ever seen!

      • Roger that. 🙂 Thanks!

  13. Just a question about your ‘about’ , if I may of course kindly. Are you considering yourself to be a photographer or illustrator. Because some of your photo images are really good. cheers bart.

    November 22, 2014 at 11:49 am

    • I love them both, Bart, and really don’t make much of a distinction between them, they are the forms of creativity I use most. I often combine the two using the magic of Photoshop. Thanks for the compliment 🙂
